The Morah Raizel Youth Center - CHABAD JEWISH CENTER

Our Rabbi's mother, Mrs. Raizel Wolvovsky, was a beloved and expert educator. Throughout the years, she taught thousands of students with enthusiasm and joy. Judaism came alive in her classroom and out!

Raizel brought a vibrancy to her teaching with the use of hands on props and real life experiences. She had a special ability to connect with each of her students as individuals, on their level. Raizel stayed in touch with her students from preschool age and took delight in watching them grow and, in many cases, eventually have children of their own.

While Raizel passed away on the 18th of Kislev (November 21), 2021, her loving soul lives on. The Morah Raizel Youth Center will perpetuate her memory. Located in Glastonbury, CT, the Center will bring the joy of Judaism to youth in our area. The Center aims to educate and inspire local children with creative Jewish programming throughout the year.
